                                                                            What hope means to me

Hope is not an object you can hold in your hands, Hope is not something that comes by itself hope comes when you expect something better from tomorrow. You can see what other people accomplish in life and have hope because they did it and so can you. Hope is going to sleep knowing that something is going to come from tomorrow.

The first time i experienced hope was when i was born. Me seeing the pain and agony from both my parents gave me hope because they went through what they went through just to make me. When i see my parents happy from something that i have done gives me hope. You can obtain hope by beliving in your self and being successful with your works

Diving  deeper into Omelas
In the short story The ones who walk away from omelas it explains how the people of the city are joyful and alive. The people there live in a community where they dont worry about nothing because they are living so peacefully, But it seems to good to be true it almost seems like a city out of a book.
The city of omelas was quite a odd city nothing like any current city in the world. It was said to have naked kids running around and singing to the music of the day and the soft wind at night. The city had no power or electricity, no cars or city lights it was yet an old fashioned city. In one of the houses which had a basement stayed a little boy. He was neglected and basically tortured by the people of this city. He was not fed right and was even viewed by these people time to time but nobody even considered helping this little kid out. Because they believed if the kid was help the happiness and joy and almost perfect life they lived would be corrupted and would no longer be the same. Another problem was that they were selfish. The people of Omelas can’t justify that a human being is used as an object. It is wrong to contain a child or a person of any kind, even if what the person brings is happiness. It is wrong to neglect someone or anything for the greater good of yourself. Life is filled with tragic tradeoffs. In many different venues, the suffering of the few is justified by those trying to deliver the greatest good for the greatest number.

One of the main  issues in Omelas was ignorance. They used action of treating someone unfairly in order to benefit their happiness. Everyone knows about this child in the basement and have even visited the child. After they have seen the they react differently, but still have the same thought that it should be there for the sake of their happiness and city. In reality, the society that we live in depends on other countries (the child) for our daily needs, then tolerate the exploitation, by telling our society that their misery is necessary. “Life is filled with tragic-tradeoffs. In many different venues, the suffering of  the few is justified by those trying to deliver the greatest good for the greatest number.” To say that that we live in a society that justice is for all and that it exist will be entirely wrong.
In this city portrayed to be perfect and joyful in every way even has its deepest secrets in america we believe we are great and full of freedom but we still treat people like slaves. And the sad part is that we as a people know but we are scared of losing what we have.

Ted talk

In the ted talk i watched performed by David Steindl-Rast, He explains how to be happy. You need to be grateful by his statement and beliefs . People who have everything in the world who say they are not happy are not grateful. They still want something more that makes them think they will be happy after they obtain it but in reality it will not let them be satisfied at all because they are not grateful for what they have. He also explains that living gratefully will summon happiness and that is the most valuable thing giving to have is being grateful.

Social Injustice

                                                                              Social Injustice
What I thought was valuable about Charles Robbins ted talk he was an University administrator who was passionate about social injustices who worked with social science, scientist, engineers, and art. What is surprising is that he tells the audience that it doesn’t matter what position you're in, you have the capability to think about social injustice issues. He explains to the audience that it doesn’t matter what position you're in, you have the capability and you are  free to  do anything. It doesn’t matter what ethnicity, religion, or even where you come from everyone has a dream and anyone could achieve it. Charles goes on his first topic which is racism. This is important because people think that it is nt occurring today they think it's something of the past like the 1960s and 1970s. People are forgetting that we still suffer through it. People claim that we live in a post-racial society because obama was elected twice but Charles flips it to the topic of Michael Brown and how his family think about the “post racial society”. What makes this an issue is that colored people are being submission of their human rights around this nation.  Another topic is gender, he talks about how feminisim and how samesex marriage isn’t even illegal but people still think that there is no social injustices in this nation or even worldwide. This what concerns me, that people go to sleep every night know that here is really nothing wrong with human rights being limited before them.

Some things that make me happy are food, Family, And waking up every morning to see another day. This all makes me happy because these are all blessings in life and you shouldn't be mad about having blessings in your life. Having life at the palm of your hands when you wake up every morning makes me happy even if i were to lose everything and still wake up the next day alive i would still be somewhat happy because life is precious and you should take every chance you get to do something to make something out of it. Food makes me happy all the time because you can never be mad at food.  It tastes to good to ever make someone mad so never take it for granted because people around the world are starving.

                                                                          Role models

I've looked up to a lot of people in my life and there actions have influenced me and made me change my ways to fit theirs. My dad for one is a big influence in my life. I've followed in his footsteps my whole life. i studied how he acted and how his emotions showed and what he would do when he faced tribulations. The way he would talk and how he acted with certain people made me talk and act the same way because i thought it was the right way. My older siblings had a great effect on my ways to. I've looked up to them when i was growing up i developed habits from two of them. I watched a lot of sponge bob growing up so i know to be happy no matter what happens and push all the bad things aside.

                                                              Objects that represent my life

If i wasn't on the earth at the moment objects that would represent me would be a variety of things. Jordan shoes would be the first thing to represent me because that's mostly all i wear. Also my long hair because i have had it all my life and that is what people mostly know me by. I would be remembered by vita water because i am always drinking it no matter what time of the day it is. I would choose vita water over every other drink. Happiness represents my life, you will never catch me sad because i try to make the best out of any situtition. Freedom would be there to because i live in america and thats the land of the free.
